Shinpei Kato

  • AI & robotics

    You will develop the core algorithms that power autonomous driving and implement them in vehicles. Your work will involve object recognition and self-localization using LiDAR, cameras and radar. You will also develop path planning and motion control systems using optimization techniques and machine learning. You will integrate sensors and software into real vehicles, creating frameworks that shape the future of autonomous driving technology.

  • Computing platform

    You will be responsible for the research and development of system software and hardware for autonomous driving systems. Meeting the real-time and power constraints of these systems requires work at the lower layers of computer systems. This includes developing custom middleware, modifying the Linux kernel, creating custom operating systems, and designing processors and accelerators. By providing efficient and secure computing infrastructure, you will support the advancement of autonomous driving technology.

  • Web services

    You will develop cloud systems that support the development, evaluation, operation, and analysis of autonomous driving systems. Using AWS, you will create CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality and data platforms to manage diverse datasets. You will also develop solutions for managing vehicle routes and monitoring real-time footage from in-vehicle cameras. Your contributions will help build an ecosystem for the safe and reliable deployment of autonomous driving technology

Employment terms

  • Choose from flexible work arrangements including full-time, contract and part-time positions to suit your lifestyle and career goals.

  • Most regular employees are contracted to work an eight-hour day with options for flextime and remote work, allowing for autonomy in how you manage your schedule.

  • Enjoy time off on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays and a three-day summer break from July to September*, as well as six days off over the New Year holiday period. New hires receive 20 days of paid leave upon starting, ensuring you have time to relax and recharge.

  • Our probationary period is two months, giving you time to settle in and showcase your skills.
